Data Deletion Instructions

1. Overview

This page explains how to request deletion of the personal data Social Rocket AI holds about you, including data from social accounts you connected, and how to remove Social Rocket AI’s access to those accounts. You do not need to be logged in to use these instructions.

2. How to request deletion

1. Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your Social Rocket AI account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.
2. Tell us what you want deleted:
   • your entire Social Rocket AI account and all associated data, or
   • only the data for specific connected social accounts (include the platform and the account, Page, or channel name), or
   • other information, such as a contact form message, affiliate application, or blog comment.
3. Include your workspace name if you have more than one, and the page link for any blog comment you want removed.
4. Send the email. We will reply to confirm we received your request and, if needed, to verify your identity.

If you cannot send an email from your account address, contact us at [email protected] or call +1 (512) 804-8810 (Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 6 PM EST), and we will help you verify your identity another way. We will never ask you to send us your social media passwords.

If you only want to stop Social Rocket AI from accessing a social account, you can do that yourself right away from the platform’s settings. See Revoke access on each platform.

3. What we delete

When we complete a full account deletion request, we delete or anonymize:

• your account profile and login details;
• workspaces you own, including brand descriptions, team invitations, and agency customer details;
• drafts, scheduled posts, approval history, and publishing records;
• media library files and AI-generated content stored in your account;
• connected social account data, including account and Page details and the access tokens or credentials used to connect them;
• websites you added for monitoring and their monitoring history.

Any active paid subscription is cancelled as part of an account deletion request, so you will not be billed again. If you are a member of a workspace owned by someone else, mention it in your request. Content you created in that workspace may be controlled by the workspace owner, and we will explain what can be deleted.

4. Disconnect a social account

You do not have to delete your whole Social Rocket AI account to remove a single social account. To disconnect one, revoke Social Rocket AI’s access in that platform’s settings (see Revoke access on each platform) or email [email protected] and we will disconnect it for you. When an account is disconnected:

• Social Rocket AI can no longer publish to that account.
• Posts scheduled for that account will not be published.
• Posts already published stay on the platform. Disconnecting does not delete them; delete them on the platform if you want them removed.

To also remove the account’s stored data from Social Rocket AI, send a deletion request as described above.

5. Revoke access on each platform

You can also remove Social Rocket AI’s access from the platform itself. This stops any further access even if you cannot log in to Social Rocket AI. Platforms update their menus from time to time, so if a step below does not match what you see, search the platform’s help center for “connected apps” or “remove app access”.

Facebook and Instagram deletion requests

When you remove Social Rocket AI in your Facebook or Instagram settings, Meta may give you the option to send us a request to delete the data we received from Meta. To make sure we can match and process your request, please also email [email protected] with the name of the Facebook Page or Instagram account involved.

6. What happens after you send a request

1. We confirm that we received your request.
2. We verify that the request comes from the account holder or someone authorized to act for them.
3. We cancel any active subscription and disconnect connected social accounts, where relevant.
4. We delete or anonymize the requested data in our active systems.
5. We email you to confirm when the deletion is complete.

7. How long it takes

We process verified requests without undue delay and within any timeframe required by applicable law. If we need more time, or need more information to verify your request, we will tell you. Copies of deleted data may remain in backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten through normal cycles; we do not use them to restore your data unless you ask us to.

8. Information we may keep

We may keep limited information after a deletion request where we have a legal obligation or legitimate reason, such as:

• billing and transaction records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes;
• information needed to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms, or establish or defend legal claims;
• records needed to prevent fraud, abuse, or repeated misuse of free plans and trials;
• information we are legally required to preserve or report, such as child safety reports;
• a record that you made a deletion request and when we completed it;
• information that has been aggregated or de-identified so it no longer identifies you.

9. Data controlled by social platforms

Social Rocket AI cannot delete data held by social platforms. This includes posts you published through Social Rocket AI, comments and reactions on those posts, and your profile on each platform. To delete that data, use the platform’s own tools or contact the platform, following its procedures:
